Today we held two OTC Nakanojo Public Workshops at TSUMUJI – Nakanojo Creative Communication Centre – as part of Nakanojo Biennale 2011. Our mission: to explore the local area and make exciting new Nakanojo posters!
Here’s our very own rogue horsey version of Gunma mascot ‘Gunma-chan’ for now named Gunma-chan the 2nd (second from the left) with Nakanojo Biennale Executive Committee member Maru-chan (second from right) and friends (far left, middle, and far right).
Families turned out in force to take part in the workshops, and Gunma-chan the 2nd was only too happy to pose for the cameras! Oh, and if you have any suggestions of a better name for our equine OTC Nakanojo mascot then please do add in the comments box…
Here a happy mother admires a self portrait, made by Gunma-chan 2nd, which she has just been gifted.
Gunma-chan the 2nd enjoys playing to the crowds. Here he is handing out to Japanese children little Japanese flags which he has made from red circles cut out of larger St George’s flags. Cheeky vandal!
“Let’s go explore Nakanojo!” says Gunma-chan the 2nd silently and acts the ‘pied piper’.
Thank you to everyone who braved the wet weather and made our workshops so much fun!
Thanks to youse
